Coast Up Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By creating a Coast Up account, purchasing Coast Up or using the service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not purchase or use Coast Up.
2. Eligibility and service area
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
Coast Up is currently designed primarily for U.S. residential moves and U.S. mailing addresses.
3. What Coast Up is
Coast Up is a digital moving-related discovery and organization service. It:
- searches email accounts the customer authorizes
- looks for indications connecting organizations to a previous address
- organizes findings
- supplies official websites where confidently verified
- provides completion tracking
4. What Coast Up is not
Coast Up is not:
- USPS
- a mail-forwarding provider
- a bank
- a lender
- an insurer
- a credit reporting agency
- a credit-repair organization
- an identity-theft protection service
- a law firm
- a financial advisor
- a tax advisor
- a government agency
- an agent authorized to change the customer’s address with third-party organizations
5. Authorization to access connected email
When you connect an email account and start a Coast Up scan, you represent that you own the mailbox or are legally authorized to access and authorize processing of that mailbox.
You instruct and authorize Coast Up and its contracted email-connectivity providers to access and process the mailbox information reasonably necessary to perform the scan you requested, subject to the permissions you grant.
You may revoke a connected mailbox before a scan, although doing so may prevent the scan from completing.
You may not connect another person’s mailbox unless you have lawful authority to do so.
6. Customer information
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You are responsible for reviewing the standardized address before accepting it.
7. Purchase and included service
Coast Up is a one-time digital purchase. The current purchase includes:
- up to 2 unique email inboxes per purchase
- up to 2 customer-initiated scans
- a prioritized Coast Up results list
- official website links where Coast Up can verify them sufficiently
- completion tracking
- 60 days of access beginning when initial results become available
There is no subscription and no continuous mailbox monitoring. A second scan does not restart the 60-day period.
The price shown at checkout at the time of purchase is the price charged, subject to discounts, taxes or adjustments displayed before payment.
8. Scan limitations
Coast Up is a discovery tool, not a complete inventory of every organization that possesses or has ever possessed your address.
Results may contain:
- accounts you already updated
- historical organizations
- retailers or subscriptions that no longer require an update
- organizations with insufficient current account status information
Coast Up may miss an organization because:
- the email no longer exists
- the previous address does not appear in searchable mail
- provider search does not surface it
- the account was created after the move
- email provider data is unavailable
- technical or provider limitations occur
Coast Up does not guarantee complete discovery.
State and local requirement information
Coast Up may provide destination-based state and local moving requirement information from verified official government sources where available. These requirements are informational, may not be exhaustive, and are not legal or governmental advice. Customers remain responsible for confirming requirements that apply to their circumstances.
Category-level reminders
Category-level reminders or High-Risk Accounts to Double-Check are reminders only. They do not establish that a customer currently has an active account, debt, policy, or other relationship.
9. Customer responsibility for address changes
Coast Up does not make third-party address changes on your behalf.
You are solely responsible for deciding whether an organization requires an update and for completing the update directly with that organization.
10. Priority labels
High Priority, Recommended and Review are organizational aids, not legal, financial or professional advice.
11. Official website links
Coast Up attempts to verify official organization websites before displaying them.
Websites, domains and third-party account processes can change after Coast Up verifies them.
Before entering credentials or sensitive information on a third-party site, you remain responsible for confirming you are interacting with the organization you intend to contact.
12. Third-party services
Coast Up depends on third parties such as email providers, Nylas, Stripe, Google, Microsoft, Apple, OpenAI, Supabase and hosting providers.
Coast Up does not control the availability, policies, outages or functionality of third-party services.
A third-party service may change, suspend or restrict functionality that affects Coast Up.
13. Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe.
Coast Up does not store complete card numbers.
Applicable taxes may apply.
There is no recurring charge unless you separately agree to a future recurring product.
14. Refunds
The Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Because Coast Up is an on-demand digital service, the purchase becomes non-refundable once the first scan begins, except where applicable law requires otherwise or where Coast Up confirms that a technical failure prevents delivery of the purchased service.
A scan begins when you affirmatively start the scan and Coast Up begins processing the selected connected mailbox or mailboxes.
A successfully performed scan counts as delivery of that scan even if it identifies few or no organizations.
15. Partner Referral Program
Businesses may purchase Coast Up client credits through the Partner Referral Program. Partner credits are a one-time bulk purchase at the posted per-credit price, subject to the posted minimum order quantity, and are not a subscription.
Each credit may be turned into a single-use gift link. A gift link entitles one recipient to one paid Coast Up. Redeeming a gift link creates a Coast Up owned by the recipient under these Terms; the recipient is the customer for that Coast Up.
A partner receives no access to a recipient’s account, connected email, addresses, moving date, findings, or results. A partner sees only whether a credit is unused, sent, redeemed, or revoked. Partners may revoke a gift link that has not been redeemed; a redeemed Coast Up cannot be revoked, withdrawn, or reassigned by the partner.
Partners must not sell or resell Coast Up gift links or complimentary client credits, present Coast Up as their own service, or send gift links in violation of applicable marketing laws.
A partner may also share a free Coast Up referral link. Customers who use a referral link purchase Coast Up themselves at the normal customer price; a referral link never changes a customer’s price. As an introductory incentive, a partner may receive one complimentary client credit, one time only, after three different customers purchase Coast Up through that partner’s referral link. Refunded and disputed purchases do not count toward that reward.
Partner participation is additionally governed by the Partner Referral Program Terms, which every partner must accept. Where the Partner Referral Program Terms conflict with these Terms on a partner-specific matter, the Partner Referral Program Terms control for that matter.
16. Acceptable use
You may not:
- connect a mailbox you are not authorized to access
- use Coast Up for any illegal purpose
- attempt to access another customer’s data
- probe or defeat security controls without written authorization
- scrape the service or use automated tools to abuse it
- interfere with Coast Up
- extract API keys, secrets or internal system data
- submit malicious inputs
- resell or provide unauthorized access to the service
- use Coast Up to monitor another person’s mailbox without authorization
17. Service availability
Coast Up may experience maintenance, outages, provider delays, rate limits or technical errors.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue functionality when reasonably necessary for security, legal, technical or operational reasons.
18. Account suspension and termination
Coast Up may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully, fraudulently, in violation of these Terms, or in a way that threatens users, providers or the service.
This section does not remove consumer rights that cannot be waived.
19. Intellectual property
The Coast Up site, branding, software and original materials remain the property of Coast Up. Third-party provider names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Subject to these Terms, Coast Up grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose during your applicable access period.
20. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback, Coast Up may use that feedback to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you, provided we do not claim ownership of your personal information.
21. Disclaimer
Coast Up provides informational discovery and organization assistance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coast Up is provided on an as-available basis.
Coast Up does not warrant that every organization will be identified, every result is currently associated with your old address, every third-party site will remain correct, or the service will operate without interruption.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
22. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Coast Up will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages, loss of data, lost profits or losses arising from a third party’s actions or failure to update an address.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Coast Up’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the purchase giving rise to a claim will not exceed the amount actually paid for that Coast Up purchase.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
23. Electronic communications
You agree that Coast Up may provide transaction, authentication, security, service and legal notices electronically to the email address associated with your Coast Up account or through the service.
24. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without overriding consumer-protection rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
25. Informal issue resolution
Before initiating a formal dispute, you and Coast Up are encouraged to contact the other party and attempt to resolve the issue informally.
26. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
27. Waiver
A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
28. Assignment
Users may not transfer their Coast Up purchase or rights under these Terms without Coast Up’s permission. Coast Up may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of the business, subject to applicable law.
29. Entire agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and other policies expressly incorporated into them constitute the agreement concerning the Coast Up service.
30. Changes
We may update these Terms prospectively as Coast Up changes. Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law.
